Recently, I have been priviledged to become a participant in The Mental Health Arts Collaborative. The purpose of the Collaborative is to eliminate the stigma attached to mental illnesses. Artistic expression becomes a strengthening factor in facing down the stigma, coming to grips with it. My art is, and I can see now, has always been about this process.
